Weber introduces five new special edition mandolins for 2020
New for 2020, Weber Fine Acoustic Instruments announces a series of deluxe Special Edition mandolins designed to offer a new voice and new paths of expression for musicians of many styles, including bluegrass, folk, jazz, Celtic and Old Time.
Deeper body chambers, new finishes, alternative bracing patterns and exciting wood combinations are just a few of the elements that define this array of breathtaking mandolins, all featuring Weber dovetail joints and each Sound Optimized for maximum performance.
Along with the previously announced deeper bodied, x-braced Red Rocks F14–F and the elegant, dark walnut-bound Pronghorn 2 Pt. 14-F, additions to the line include the deeper-bodied, tone bar-braced Road Dog F14-F (with Adirondack spruce top, scooped extension, shellac finish and speed neck); and a pair of 20” scale A-style octave mandolins, the D-hole Bearclaw spruce/walnut Exotic Paulina A 20- D (boasting a distinctive bear inlay and open resonant sound) and the all-koa Exotic Kona A 20-F (featuring a subtle sea turtle inlay and bell-like clarity).

Each finely appointed Weber Special Edition mandolin is handmade to order in Bend, Oregon, and comes shipped in a custom hardshell Ameritage case. No clear- cut wood is used in any Weber mandolin.
