Source Audio introduces the Collider delay and reverb

Springing off the success of the extremely popular and award winning Nemesis Delay and Ventris Dual Reverb, Source Audio are releasing the Collider Delay+Reverb. The Collider features a focused collection of the most popular and useful delay and reverb effects from the Nemesis Delay and Ventris Dual Reverb, and packages them in a compact and easy-to-use stereo effects pedal. The Collider utilizes its Dual DSP architecture and dedicated ON/OFF footswitches to essentially give users a high-powered delay and a high-powered reverb in a single pedal.

"Until now, the only way to access a high-end collection of reverbs and delays was to purchase two large, expensive pedals," says Source Audio president Roger Smith. "We have broken through this barrier with Collider.  Now you can have access to a collection of the best reverbs AND the best delays all in the same compact design."

Straight out of the box, the Collider offers 12 outstanding, precisely designed delay and reverb effects. On the delay side, the pedal includes vintage tones inspired by the highly revered Maestro EP-3 Echoplex© tape delay, the increasingly rare Oil Can delay design, and a classic analog bucket brigade circuit. The Collider's more contemporary delay effects include the pristine Digital Delay and a trippy Reverse Delay. On the Reverb side, the Collider offers highly-accurate models of tried-and-true reverb tones like Spring, Plate, and the Lexicon Hall©, natural replications of large and small acoustic spaces, and other-worldly, ambient dreamscape shapers like Shimmer, Swell, and E-Dome.

In addition to the default Delay and Reverb combination effects, the pedal also offers the "Unlock" feature, which allows users to simultaneously run two delay effects (with different beat divisions synced to a single tap tempo) or two reverb effects.

The Collider comes jam-packed with an impressive set of features including stereo inputs and outputs, 8 user presets (or 128 presets accessible via MIDI messages), integrated tap tempo (with a 3-way beat division switch), Reverb Hold mode, full MIDI capability, external expression control, and external preset switching.

Despite being two effects in one box, the Collider boasts a simple user interface. When the KNOBS toggle switch is set to DELAY, all knobs control the delay, including the effect selector wheel. When the toggle is set to REVERB, all the knobs control the reverb. When the toggle is set to LOCK, accidental knob bumps will not alter any sounds.

The Collider is also compatible with the Neuro Desktop Editor (a free download for Mac and Windows) and Neuro Mobile App (free for iPhone and Android), which offer a library of presets created by the Source Audio team and the ever-growing Neuro community. Additionally, the Neuro Editor offers various dual-effect signal routing options including Cascade (a.k.a. "Series"), Parallel, and Split Stereo (Left=A, Right=B).

Burning presets to the Collider is a straightforward process. The Collider connects to the Neuro Editor via the pedal's mini USB port or the Neuro Mobile App via the phone's headphone jack and Input 2 on the pedal. Once connected, musicians can easily browse and audition presets on the pedal. Favorite presets can then be saved with a single click to one of Collider's preset destinations. It's a fun process that allows users to create the perfect delay and reverb pedal for their needs.
