Sonic Machine Factory Ships Class A Compact Series Guitar Combos
The Sonic Machine Factory announced its all-tube, all-Class A Compact 15 Watt and Compact 35 Watt. Mil-spec and hand assembled in the USA, the 2-channel reverb Compact 1x12" Celestion combos feature a reduced size cabinet, only 19" High x 10 3/4" Deep and a quieter tube buffered reverb section.
The new Compacts include several circuitry updates that have also been added to the company's original Watter series models. The considerably smaller Compact combos have a vertically mounted chassis with knobs facing up at the rear of the amp's top panel.
Says co-designer Rick Hamel, "Mark Sampson and I originally thought to mimick the response of a point-to-point amp using class A tube design only and a very thick military grade circuit board with through-hole pads and extra-wide tracings."
