Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster gets metal-worthy makeover
Originally released in 2002 and residing on the pedalboards of iconic musicians like George Lynch, Peter Frampton, and Alex Skolnick, the Pickup Booster is a true-bypass pedal with a class A, low-noise circuit design, and can be used to dial in the tone you need for every situation. It will emphasize your guitar’s natural tone while adding some muscle and fatness. It uses a discrete push-pull output stage for increased drive capability so, even with the Gain knob down to 0dB from a maximum 25dB, your signal chain will sound cleaner—even with long cable runs—essentially acting as a buffer on your pedalboard.
Like the original, this pedal is designed to boost your signal without altering the character of your guitar, while also hiding a few tone-shaping tricks up its sleeve. Unlike the original, it is available for a limited time and is finished in a matte black chassis.
