PreSonus ships FLEX DSP-powered StudioLive 64S and Series III S mixers

PreSonus® is now shipping its new, top-of-the-line StudioLive® 64S, which brings the power of a large production console to small-format digital mixing, with 76 mixing channels, 43 buses, and 526 simultaneous effects thanks to the all new quad-core FLEX DSP engine. Thirty-two individually configurable FlexMixes allow you to create the perfect combination of aux mixes, matrix mixes, and subgroups for your application. StudioLive 64S mixers feature an independent main Mono/Center bus; each channel has a dedicated level control and a Center Divergence control that allows you to control the pan placement in your LCR mix.

The StudioLive 64S is the flagship mixer of the new StudioLive Series III S line of four new mixers that provide an exceptional mixing experience for live sound production, touring, high channel count performances, installed sound, mobile, and studio applications. Powered by the PreSonus FLEX DSP Engine, they feature state-space modeled Fat Channel plug-in processing on every input and bus; up to 32 FlexMix buses that can be individually configured as Aux, Matrix, or Subgroup buses; and flexible digital patching unparalleled in this price class. All models deliver 128-channel (64x64) USB recording—more than any other mixer—plus multitrack SD recording and extensive 128-channel AVB networking.

The StudioLive 32S, 32SX, and 32SC each offer 40 mixing channels, 26 buses, and 286 processors in three form factors. The StudioLive 32S provides 32 local preamps in a 33-fader frame for one-to-one mix control. The 32SX delivers the same complement of local I/O as the 32S but in a 25-fader, low-profile, space-saving frame. The 32SC squeezes its 32-channel mixing and processing power into a rack-mountable, road-ready frame with 16 local preamps and 17 faders that can be easily expanded to a full 32 channels by adding a single NSB 16.8 stage box.

Like earlier StudioLive Series III models, the new digital consoles provide AVB networking to connect with any of the PreSonus AVB ecosystem of products to create a system that is customized for your needs. Connect PreSonus NSB-series stage boxes to add remote analog inputs and outputs wherever required, add up to 32 EarMix® 16M personal monitor mixers to give your musicians their own customizable 16-channel monitor mix, and network multiple StudioLive Series III mixers to share inputs and buses. Audio routing to and from the network is easy,  thanks to the flexibility of digital patching available onboard the mixers and in UC Surface.

All StudioLive Series III S models provide 128 simultaneous channels (64x64) over USB, more than any other digital mixer on the market that, along with the new Capture® 3.0, offer 64 channels of live recording and playback. An onboard 34-track SD recorder provides flexible mobile and redundant recording options. And the seamless integration with Studio One® and Capture recording applications means you can effortlessly move from an automated Virtual Soundcheck before the gig to the final mastered studio mix of the performance.

StudioLive Series III S digital mixers introduce password-protected User Profiles that make the mixers ideal solutions for installed applications with user-specific permissions. Limit access to channel processing, GEQs, preamp settings, and more. You can even set a limit to how much the level can be turned up on the mixes. New Project and Scene management allows you to store multiple mix scenes with the same global routing setup in a single project. Best of all, these features will also be available for original Series III mixers in the version 2.0 firmware update, which is expected to be released by the end of March 2019.

Like all PreSonus StudioLive digital mixers, the new StudioLive Series III S consoles are tightly integrated with a suite of state-of-the-art software. In addition to recording with the included Capture and Studio One Artist, you can mix wirelessly using free UC Surface touch-control software for Mac®, Windows®, iPad® and Android™. Control your monitor mixes with free QMix®-UC for iPhone®, iPod® touch, and Android devices.

StudioLive Series III S digital mixers are available now at your favorite PreSonus dealers at anticipated street prices of StudioLive 64S $3,999.95; StudioLive 32S $2,999.95; StudioLive 32SX $2,599.95; and StudioLive 32SC $1,999.95.

@henksmithYT:  awful product videos with silly aspirational BS and doesn't show you anything. whats the point? why waste so much money on videos to bamboozle people when you can just make a product video and show it?

@ellane8441:  Got My New Baby !!!

@mangoman3038:  Studiolive 3 has same issue with network card...suddenly computer cannot recognize the hardware...then need to replace network card...but it will happen again and again...

@ArbeitsgruppeLobotomie:  Immer diese nichtsaussagenden, dämlichen Videos mit dämlicher Musik - nach den zwei Minuten war ich auch nicht schlauer, weshalb ich so viel Geld ausgeben soll.

@thefuzzboxx1018:  Man that song sucked..

@jeremythornton433:  I'm seriously looking at getting the 32SC. I have a first gen 16.4.2 and it's dying. If I have it on for even half an hour and turn it off. I might not work properly for at least a day. The display won't come u[, the tape in won't work. This is just a headache for me.

@Metalpazallteway:  I want to buy one that syncs with my Studio One 5 Pro DAW and multi track record. Can any of these mixers perform that function?

@LucianBadea:  Does them record tracks at 24/96 KHz?

@sajjadrzn4995:  niceee

@minecraftfreak3412:  Didnt get the new features in comparison to studiolive 32

@GuitarStuffz:  Anybody get reminded of beliver by imagine dragons from this song

@iceicebaby123-x7o replies to @GuitarStuffz: yes , subscribed :)~

@buzzzmiller:  Bought the 32 channel III four months ago and still can't get the DAW to play back through the unit. Trying to find a window big enough to throw it through.

@fenderstudio replies to @buzzzmiller: Are you trying to map individual tracks to come back through console channels, or are you trying to route the stereo out back into your TAPE IN?

@buzzzmiller replies to @buzzzmiller: @fenderstudio- Nah. Nothing complicated. I want to be able to hear the tracks just recorded while I add another track. Simple as that. Nothing weird - no loops - no outboard gear - no tracking back - mystical anythings. I don't even care if it comes back mono or in half an ear. I just want to hear guitar track 1 while I record guitar track 2.
Couldn't be more frustrated. Maybe the worst four months of my life.

@kimsaisse replies to @buzzzmiller: @buzzzmiller Can be done with Capture.

Just open the session you made, switch all the record buttons to disabled except for the guitar track, then set each channel to get its input from firewire except for the guitar track, then hit record. It will record only the guitar track while you can hear all the tracks, and it does not record over the original track either, it will create a new wav file named something like track5(2).wav so you can do it over and over again if you want, and each take is saved.

Be aware of the stereo master track at the bottom, you may want to mute that when doing this. Or the other option is to mute the other tracks and play the stereo master, up to you, but if you don't mute one or the other then everything could be doubled in volume and throw you off.

Anything beyond that you should just use StudioOne or any other daw

@Pianology123 replies to @buzzzmiller: @buzzzmiller your problem now is corrected by the interface mode of the mixer

@Calicrazedbeats:  this loks like a must have for any producer

@Mkohlbauer:  For a band, operating a desk on stage, there is still no way to defeat the FX using a footswitch! Not everybody can afford his own FOH engineer. Very unpractical and annoying. The SL 16.0.2 at least had a work-around via midi. Do we ask for too much, or have I missed something?

@MrDeekaph:  So when is this actually available in Canada?

@slayczar:  not seeing a diff between this and the flagship

@lymerbean88:  What do these new series 3 boards do that the previous series 3 doesn't do?

@floydb9100:  need better/stunning aesthetics imo (the buttons need updated modern look) - like compare visually to avid board - (S6, s3) - or ssl

@gersonsalcedo:  Just waiting for a 8 stereo FX engine with more than Reverb and Delay machines.

@zadtrax:  Their digital consoles are still and have been for quite a while, behind the curve. They need to learn to catch up with everyone else. Seem to always be about five years behind.

@Whopcap:  Bought a series 3 16 not more than 3 months ago 😵

@fenderstudio replies to @Whopcap: Did you check out the FLEX DSP update coming this week? Your StudioLive 16 is about to get a lot better...
http://blog.presonus.com/index.php/2019/03/21/introducing-studiolive-flex-dsp-update/

@brad_neal replies to @Whopcap: @fenderstudio Sweet. I just bought a 24 a few weeks back. Now it's going to be even gooder! ;-)

@ianwohlfeil3546:  Oh my god. I think I need to change my boxers. Holy crap!!!!

@Rinse303:  Nice desk.. useless video..

@EnochGitongaKimathi:  I have had the SL32 since 2017 very happy with it especially now that we have DAW Mode. The next upgrade I’m waiting for is for dual Thunderbolt 3/ USB4 ports, 16 ADAT I/O and finally support for 96kHz.

@poeticprizner4074:  Can't wait!

@jamesturner2937:  Sweeping capability claims, little detail, poor track record of support and feature delivery.....introducing presonus.

@niklassilen4313 replies to @jamesturner2937: This.

@fenderstudio replies to @jamesturner2937: More details are available at PreSonus.com! :D https://www.presonus.com/products/StudioLive-64S

@cartagenajavier:  Wow. I just bought a studiolive iii 32. I am very happy. Thank you!

@Gramps99:  Wow now that is nice. I would invest in that system. Will the CS18ai have a 3rd party daw control coming anytime soon? And will you create a controller for the studiolive 64S?

@romansavrulin replies to @Gramps99: Chris Thomas forget about AI devices. It's deprecated

@romansavrulin:  Just wondering what updates will get Studiolive RM users??? When will you fix metering over firewire?

@rickey2:  ok. give me back my money, and then take it all again!! looks sweet!

@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX:  Great news, I just bought a SLIII -16 on Monday and now its OLD lol....I will see what all the changes are, thx!

@STRIKERGTMAX replies to @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX: also my sadness sl 32 too now old junk

@fenderstudio replies to @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX: Don't forget that StudioLive Series III mixer owners will be getting the FLEX DSP update... comes out in a few days!

Check it out here: http://blog.presonus.com/index.php/2019/03/21/introducing-studiolive-flex-dsp-update/

@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX replies to @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX: @fenderstudio looking forward to it!

@markbeling3330 replies to @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX: Yep, this makes me sad to think that certain issues on the previous version were not even addressed and now a new mixer is out. im too afraid to spend money on Presonus anymore as they just keep pumping out newer versions of their hardware all this time , making your purchase out of date within two years

@philsilentdrums6631 replies to @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX: @fenderstudio So will there be a big difference between a previous series III with the FLEX DSP update and those brand new models ? The 64 seems more powerfull (CPU thing), but the others ? It would be great to create a comparison table so we can have a quick look on main spec differences between all those models (there's a lot ! :) )
