M-Audio announces high-performance Air Series audio interfaces

M-Audio (m-audio.com), synonymous with innovative music production technology, today announced the introduction of their new AIR Series audio interfaces. These new models give producers, composers and musicians the ability to produce 24-bit/192kHz studio-quality computer-based recordings with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. With a range of five models, they are perfectly tailored for recording everything from a solo performer to a large ensemble.

Boasting an elegant pro-grade metal chassis with a large central volume knob with comprehensive and versatile inputs and outputs, the AIR Series features M-Audio’s exclusive CrystalTM low-noise pre-amps and pristine A/D converters to deliver the highest audio performance in its class. When recording, it’s critical to focus on capturing that perfect moment, and getting the best performance from the artists. Getting bogged down by “clicks,” “pops” or latency is not acceptable. Therefore, the interfaces feature a high-speed USB connection for providing the lowest round trip latency (2.59ms) anywhere, so users can monitor in real time.

Every model in the range comes complete with a comprehensive software package that has everything needed to make professional recordings right out of the box. With 2 powerful DAWs (one in the Hub) to suit even the most demanding production needs, AIR interfaces include Pro Tools | First M-Audio Edition and Ableton Live Lite.

Pro Tools is the industry standard for recording software, and M-Audio has teamed up with Avid to craft a version of this terrific collection specifically tailored to their hardware. This amazing audio and MIDI recording software helps inspire any artist, musician or singer-songwriter to create, record and share all their ideas across the world at any time. Ableton Live Lite is one of the most popular performance and production programs available in the world. A powerful music creation tool, Ableton Live Lite enables musicians and producers to spontaneously compose, record, remix, improvise and edit musical ideas in a fluid audio/MIDI environment.

M-Audio also includes an entire Effects Plugin, Virtual Instruments and Loop package to cater to every user’s production needs. Whether they need a guitar tone, reverb, or delay, The AIR Series has all the effects needs covered with Eleven Lite, 20 effect plugins and AIR’s Creative FX Collection Plus. With the included AIR Virtual Instrument plugins, there is a virtual drummer, drum machine, synth, strings, percussion, organ and piano plugins to add world-class-sounding instruments to any production.

The broad range of included software, model by model, is absolutely unmatched by any

competitor on the market and—along with its unmatched pure audio performance—it’s a major point of superiority to the AIR Series.

Included software (varies by model, but each model is industry-leading in its class): • ProTools|FirstM-AudioEdition
