@mavic6155: There is a price curve, and the M!ka is at the higher end. Why? It’s not just because of its looks, the materials used or available range of accessories, but also because of the following reason: In a radio studio, stations often apply a significant amount of audio processing. This means barely audible sounds, such as a slight 'twang' or noises from repositioning the mic arm, are amplified dramatically. A high-quality mic arm helps to minimize these unwanted low-volume noises the most effectively.

@reer3192: I've heard of horror stories of the spring on cheap arms flying off in high speeds and going through walls, like would cause a blunt bullet wound type of damage. One user said it flew right beside their heads and said that they probably would've died. Can't say how true this might be I doubt the spring is on that much tension but they did have a picture of a damaged wall.

@AudioMasterclass replies to @rienpost: Just a telescopic pole that clamps to my table. It isn’t all I could wish for and I’d pay maybe £100 for one that does all I want. Snag is it doesn’t exist.
