@ytpremium7649:  I can't justify letting go my DX7 for this

Sorry

@japrietoj:  Hi.What model of acoustic piano is this White Grand?

@HrWisch:  Nord Grand 2 with a Roland PHA-50 hammer action please. I don't like the wobble of the Kawai RH-3 and the Grand Feels are not really transportable anymore. The Roland PHA-50 has the longest key stick of after the Grand Feels, the additional stability pin makes it very sturdy and robust and the touch may need a little to get used to it, but then it feels and plays great.

@hbrmetal:  Deus abençoe você e toda equipe, e os familiares grandemente,e que prosperem em todas as áreas

@mar1683xyz:  Just bought one, spectacular. Such a hairy instrument.

@philipbrown2225:  is this person blindfolded?

@AlansPiano:  This sounds & looks like a New York Steinway Model B

@elektrogrooveg4325:  Unglaublicher Sound dieses Nord Grand 😎👍🏼🎶🥃

@lalnunsangaasanga5801:  Best sample! Natural !

@thegroomscorpse:  when did george harrison started playing piano

@777Witness:  Please release a deeper and richer piano sample with longer sustain. This sounds really good, but still waiting for better.

@Harlequin52:  2:07 Was not expecting that face reveal...

@savedalsman2081:  a gift... thank you for that!

@eliaseduardo9701:  Cabelo maneiro / Cool hair

@rangel_menezes:  Belchior toca demais!

@StandForSomethingGood:  Sounds great. I'm buying one.

@Andreas-iv8ym:  On my NP4 I have to delete almost my entire piano library just to load this piano

@rafyfx:  1:55 GS Reharm?

@alexandersoriano2773:  Rai rulessss

@TheIvoryman:  Overall, it’s not a bad piano sound. But, still sounds digital to me. It just isn’t on par with Pianoteq or other quality PC based sample sound sets. If I were looking for a genuinely believable acoustic piano emulation, I would not be happy with this.

@Eroenjin:  Does this count as blindfolded playing? Anyway, sounds really nice!

@willoughbykrenzteinburg:  Can't pick between the nord for the fantastic piano library and the Yamaha CP88 that is some years behind in the piano library, but looks to be expanding with 1.4 out recently. Not sure if they will expand beyond their own Yamaha brand (and sub brands) though. If the feature sets were exactly the same, Nord would be the no-brainer pick for me, but one feature the Yamaha CP88 has that the Nord Piano and Nord Grand lack is the ability to layer 3 sounds. First, the Yamaha makes their piano and electric piano sections separate, so you can layer a nice bright C7 with an FM electric. You can't do that on the Nord (that I know of). On top of this, that's just the basic mode. If you go to advanced mode, you can literally put any sound from any section and layer it. You could layer three pianos from the piano section. You could layer two pianos and an electric piano. With the Nord, you can only layer a sound from the piano section (which includes all pianos and electric pianos) with a sound from the sub section. That is frustratingly limiting when the Yamaha is so flexible in this regard.

@willoughbykrenzteinburg replies to @willoughbykrenzteinburg: @jameselias The Stage 3 is not comparable to a CP88. Im aware of the A and B panels, but it has an entirely different target market. I dont need a full workstation/synthesizer. I wouldn't spend almost twice as much when all I need is a stage piano.

I wasnt even aware the Nord Piano 5 was out until you said this. It looks like it has the exact feature that the Piano 4 was missing that the CP88 had. Though steep in price.

@Rajivrocks-Ltd.:  So, what actual piano is this? As in what piano is it sampled from? I'm using the Garritan CFX VST but i still like this the best. Its brigh but still has that bassiness if you get what I mean.

@AlexG-bc7ji replies to @Rajivrocks-Ltd.: To my knowledge this was sampled from the white Steinway that was owned by John Lennon.

@Rajivrocks-Ltd. replies to @Rajivrocks-Ltd.: @AlexG-bc7ji Oh damn :o

@motherbrain2000:  the "white grand" is a piano i bought for gigasampler 15 years ago from Sampletekk (also a swedish company). Wonder if it's the same one....I have those CDs somewhere.

@motherbrain2000 replies to @motherbrain2000: looked it up: it IS the same one. apparently a 100 year-old Malmsjo piano. never heard of that make/model.

@mrsbaylocksvideoemporium9621:  Is that Slash without his hat on?

Legendary performance 👍

@spada60:  Get a haircut man u look ridiculous. jeeeezzz some guys just want attention unbelievable

@cosmojonesmusic:  What a player! Beautiful touch

@shookstylez:  Such a pity it's red though. I really hope Nord would make some models without the Red color. This stage piano would have looked very nice in Black. Just my opinion!

@stvkkkk11:  OMG can’t believe it’s a digital piano should have known this before I got mine Q.Q

@mipe7755 replies to @stvkkkk11: What piano did you get?

@stvkkkk11 replies to @stvkkkk11: @mipe7755 just a weirdly weighted one form amazon

@danielthrasher:  Realllly thinking about upgrading over here...

@Raelexa replies to @danielthrasher: Hi Daniel I'm the one and only saw this haha

@MuhammadNaufalyw replies to @danielthrasher: im here after he guess it right on roomie's video

@KaweeweeBoy replies to @danielthrasher: the hidden gems of daniel thrasher

@livingproof9927 replies to @danielthrasher: do it

@Agnoxic replies to @danielthrasher: @MuhammadNaufalyw same lll

@station2station544:  enough arpeggios.

@Kontrabass66:  I am still waiting for a good grand piano sample....with exception of the Hammond organ Nord sounds are still second class

@mathewnewton314:  Rai 🔥

@av-uc4vx:  Fantastic feeling for the great sample!!!

@freddyrabbitfoot:  Wenn man das White Grand installiert hat, sieht man auch, welcher Hersteller den gesampelten Flügel gebaut hat. Die Integration in's Nord Stage 2 hat geklappt. Klingt toll !!!

@waldgeist9007:  Beautiful sound and performance. Now with that Casio keybed I should start putting aside money for a Nord Grand.

@OscarLagerstrom:  Love it Rai. You play exceptional.

@burgerderper7140:  George Harrison learnt piano at this level?

@JPDC624 replies to @burgerderper7140: learned

@SeanRainey:  I'll have to play one, but it seems like it has a nice bite to it

@sakhumuzi9818:  this guy can play

@mules8662:  Can you connect wireless headphones to the Grand?

@iwatchsomevideos:  You can tell he’s deep thinking cause the hair and particular gestures

@ezekielcruzfernandez6327:  Wow beauryful song hermosos sonido de NoRD además excelente pianista

@sro7891:  Wonderful playing, and hopefully what is to be an amazing keyboard. I wish Nord would release a sound manager for iPad!

@M_E_T_R_O__9 replies to @sro7891: that would be super useful at gigs...

@kennygsmooth83:  Impressive sound sample and performance. I would have easily thought that was an acoustic grand piano on a blind test.

@skylark_media:  To be honest, if you close your eyes: it sounds identical to a recorded grand piano (a very well recorded one), any body who thinks other big brands sound better need to listen to a recorded "actual piano"........and this is nothing new, both my electo 5 and stage 3 sound this way., BUT..thank God nord have gone to Kawai!!!! Best actions out!!

@markfowlermusic replies to @skylark_media: sounds nothing like a real acoustic piano, its parts like from 0:24 to 0:31 where you can tell its clearly digital and lacking in realism, it resorts to cheap sounding digital sounds, the middle register is of poor quality, and this sample by nord does not compare to a good VST let alone a good acoustic piano., but what can you expect when the sample for this is probably under 300mb which is pathetic. And for the record yeah it probably sounds better than the other brands out there, but its still overall not of a high standard, and the other brands are just as poor anyway, they probably use 20mb samples still in their pianos and want £3000 upwards for them, ridiculous!

@Kougeru replies to @skylark_media: Not THIS action. This action is bounces too much and yet also feels spongy when you bottom out.

@Kougeru replies to @skylark_media: @markfowlermusic it's 244.9 MB which is 1959.2 mb, or if you like, 6.5 times larger than what you were guessing. Though you obviously meant MB but are too ignorant to know the difference between mb and MB

The "other brands" generally ask for half the price that this machine is. Whya VST do you use?

@logeeksoundlabs replies to @skylark_media: @markfowlermusic I'm using both VST and keyboards ; I'm just curious, what is the Piano VST that does 120GB in size? Thanks!

@markfowlermusic replies to @skylark_media: @logeeksoundlabs well its about 122gb for the whole package, but the actual samples are more like 20-30gb each I presume, garritan cfx Abbey Road vst.

@chooocoooleeezhang1251:  VPiano of roland still the best

@herrlogan17:  I didn't know George Harrison is a great pianist :) The sound is actually quite synthetic.

@electricsnut:  I wish the Grand had the Kawai GF2 keybed 🙁

@daniellindegaard7542 replies to @electricsnut: Same

@sdoowramaj:  Nice Rachmaninoff references!

@vitorlacerda5604:  When someone from woodstock teleport in front of a modern keyboard

@joiceteodora3571:  Top! Muito lindo esse som ...

@DudidumMusic:  This Rai library sounds amazing

@vomitorialcorpulence5962:  alguien sabe cómo se usa?
Somebody knows how ca i use this?

@Grayham4:  holy crap... the overtones

@Ross_Campoli:  Great sample! I think I like it better than the model D sample

@ricardofryson91:  what song is this

@davimast3r:  😀😀😀😀

@lucineidealvespereirabrito8654:  Nossa que gastura! Essa cabeleira no rosto.

@Funbia:  2:07 Habemus mustache!!!

@MarcWeertsMusic:  Great sound... Excellent playing!

@reacionario2026:  Nice. But digital. Sounds like a VST. Similar to a eletric CP.

@CollateralCrust:  👽🎹

@emmanuelmark5291:  Sweet sound!

@ranaair:  Can I use this as a vst on a daw? Or can I only use this inside a nord keyboard?

@noiselabproject9659 replies to @ranaair: no it`s for Nord Stage keyboard instruments and perhaps only available for this particular mode am not sure yet

@penguinhug34:  yeah

@alancalvitti:  it's hard to believe there's still no balanced outputs after 5 iterations?

@etpslick100:  Wow! Beautiful sound! Rai is an amazing keyboardist anyway. This is just icing on the cake!🤨🎹🎶❤️👍🏾

@RabihRihana:  Great sound! And this guy can play.

@DavidGolden99:  Is it compatible with NE5?

@GianlucaBucalo replies to @DavidGolden99: Yes, install os 2.00

@Robin_S78:  Finally a 3rd video of the Grand, but again no view of the instrument itself. Just a crappy piano demo that doesn’t sell this new Nord.

@Pianoensolitario:  Este le va a pasar el trapo a muchos

@simonross6201:  best demo I've ever heard, does it come in black

@RadRuss01 replies to @simonross6201: Haha, this comment got me

@robertmichalscheck3072 replies to @simonross6201: That’s funny.

@kevinthelaststylebender1361 replies to @simonross6201: Nord is known for their red color they will never put a black or white or brown piano on the market other wise it wouldn’t be called Nord keyboard

@DanLagos28:  A must have piano!

@EduardoRohdeEras:  The best digital piano sound til now... Really amazing instrument! And the pianist plays great

@atushner:  I feel like I’m watching a Dr Seuss/muppets character play the piano.

@tane4652 replies to @atushner: I'll call him Nordo

@Glenfiddich101 replies to @atushner: @tane4652 Well Nordo is really bloody talented for a Muppet, but I do agree with you, lol :-)) !!

@bigbad_wolfdaddy replies to @atushner: his family is upbeat and energetic and he's the scraggly edgy black sheep of the family that his parents don't really get but is really passionate about his piano and he has a redemption arc by the end

@eitanrapp:  More of Rai please!!

@instrumentalistjade8367:  Im waiting for a new piano sample from nord library for a long time.. now here it is, let me try it.. 😂😂

@instrumentalistjade8367:  My electro 5 is happy, happier than the toronto raptors..

@jeffreyreid6981:  It’s about time they advertise nord grand

@veerchasm1:  The Nord “gonna cost you ten grand” Grand

@morgantiroberto:  Nord number 1

@reikamaria2077:  Still Kawai CP2 is light years ahead of this. A portable version of that (without all the furniture and internal speakers) and it would put everything (including this Nord Grand) onto shame. So many things that Nord have never ever done.

@soundtreks replies to @reikamaria2077: Sara Hyannis truth

@alexanderdelacruz9249 replies to @reikamaria2077: Sara Hyannis I’ve used all 3 , and I vote Montage as the best( for my playing anyway)

@davidfaunce9598 replies to @reikamaria2077: Reika Maria A matter of personal taste and choices made in a sampled piano sound, none of which sound close to a real acoustic piano. There are no absolutes here. The Nord White Grand is their best so far and sounds very very good in mono or stereo.

@zi1024:  Sounds like a upright 😑

@simoneciminomusic7919:  Korg Kronos 2 it's better!

@nando6333 replies to @simoneciminomusic7919: Simone Cimino Music lol

@VadimShinnik replies to @simoneciminomusic7919: )))))) Is not better my friend! Korg have a lot of features but Nord is everywhere! On Concerts, on demos, studio, a lot of professional musicians play on Nord because Piano is Piano, Organ is Organ, Synth is Synth and all of them sound very original! And no big displays)))))) All control in real time))) Kronos 2 is better?!?!?!?! =)))) OK. Your opinion!

@markjaylandes replies to @simoneciminomusic7919: No fuckin way!

@777Witness replies to @simoneciminomusic7919: You can't be serious.

@pierrelauzon1046:  Un son d'une qualité exceptionnel! Bravo...

@stamatisklonaris:  Amazing sound and in only 200 Mb

@markjaylandes replies to @stamatisklonaris: Only! It's huge! 😀

@SheehyMusic:  Betty fucking page!!!

@Rlee-x9s:  Nord truly has the best sound of all. Nothing compares in my opinion.

@reikamaria2077 replies to @Rlee-x9s: I think no brand has the best sound of them all. Every one has certain sounds that are better than the others. For example, Nord usually has better pianos, but Crumar or Viscount have better organs. The new Yamaha CP88 has better Electric Pianos and Rhodes than Nord. Behringer Deepmind 12 has (of course) better synth sounds, etc. Also, of course, it's matter of personal taste. Some prefer Yamaha or Roland pianos over Nord, while other prefer Nord.

@jupitermarx:  Will this be the new look(design), of the next nord stage’s I love the design and it makes such perfect since to see your panel forward facing and a nice little shelf for another synth or effects units!;)

@HasitNandaOfficial:  Wow!

@HawiOfficial:  Rai's the man!

@abdulmaliksesay9701:  This Keyboard is Amazing Wish i could afford to buy One

@PianoManChuck:  Awesome!

@penguinhug34 replies to @PianoManChuck: PianoManChuck Can’t wait to see your nord grand review

@matiasespinosa:  gracias nord y bravo Rai Thistlethwayte!!!!!

@simon_w_music:  Sounds absolutely great! I’m very close to get one...😋

@fortadelis:  Sounds thrilling and beatufiul. My Nord Stage 3 would be happy.

@LewibooitheWaffle:  Does anyone know if hes playing a piece or improvising? Id like to play this style of jazz but have no clue where to start. It almost sounds like it has roots with be-bop and classical jazz

@VadimShinnik replies to @LewibooitheWaffle: First part of video is imporovisation! Second rhytmic part of video is the song by Rai Thistlethwayte - Betty Page!!! Also this song was performed for demo - KEYSCAPE (here is a full version) Just write in search - Keyscape Betty Page!

@LewibooitheWaffle replies to @LewibooitheWaffle: @VadimShinnik thank you so much you legend!

@LewibooitheWaffle replies to @LewibooitheWaffle: @VadimShinnik you dont happen to know what the "boogie" sample in the nord piano library is either?

@VadimShinnik:  Rai Thistlethwayte - mega phenomenal man!!! Nord my respect for quality and amazing sound!!!

@okay1904:  Sounds nice, for a sampled piano. Should be a great addition to any piano players arsenal,, for those who can afford it - especially with the new piano to play it with. Good job Nord.

One caveat though, its pretty difficult to hide the velocity switching on sampled pianos, and this also applies to this one. Nevertheless a good justification for the Nord approach, and a great sound. There is not that much choice out there - Yamaha, Nord, Roland, Korg - pick one.

Only thing against Nord is cost - expensive. Otherwise especially with this new keybed from Kawai, which should be reliable, everyone should have this new stage grand piano and all the lovely Nord libraries.

@AlexanderNagel replies to @okay1904: Just out of curiosity: Where in this video (min:s) do you think to hear any velocity switching? How many velocity layers do NORD piano sample even have? Do you know about this?

@GurungyNoHamuster replies to @okay1904: @Okay1 If Yamaha, Nord, Roland, and Korg pianos were all the same price most people would choose the Nord. So it's not really a choice, except on price.

@okay1904 replies to @okay1904: @AlexanderNagel I am fortunate to have a custom audio playback environment, which IMHO allows me to hear relatively very well - studio speakers and room/custom speaker correction of my own configuration. In this video, there is a sharp change in volume when he transitions to louder notes, and the louder notes kind of have the same "tone". In comparison to a real piano, there is an infinite level of variety in volume and tone, from soft to loud - Its almost impossible on a real piano to play the same note at the same volume/tone ever again, so it always feels alive and fresh due to this randomness, which is what gives a real instrument - life.

The sampled Nord Piano does very well, so my earlier comment is not a negative, just pointing out what I heard. For most music e.g Pop, or live music on a stage, with other instruments, it will be difficult to hear this "static" nature of the sampled piano sound. Only in a solo piano situation is this minor weakness in its sound identifiable.

For 90% of what most people need a sampled piano for, the Nord Pianos do a good job, and sound great.

I do not know how many layers this piano uses but from what I hear, probably no more than 3 or 4.

The main purpose of these keyboards is belong able to take a piano with you to a live stage and play, and in those scenarios, the minor observation I could hear when the piano sound was exposed in a solo scenario, when listening on very good speakers, will not be audible on most PA systems in a real hall, especially if other instruments and voices are also playing at the same time.

@okay1904 replies to @okay1904: @GurungyNoHamuster I think overall the Nord is the most versatile. covering a lot more - pianos, electric pianos, synthesizers, and organs in their Nord Stage - the top end version of their keyboards...If I had to have only one keyboard it would likely be a Nord if I could afford it. Why - Nord continuous to release new pianos, which make owning a Nord an interesting experience, you are not stuck with old sounds and are the only ones who do this well. - New sounds...... I also like the new Yamaha CP88 - these would be my top two choices for portable digital pianos. See a comparison here

https://youtu.be/XGmW47idrN0

@GurungyNoHamuster replies to @okay1904: @okay1904 Yes, I have a Stage 3 myself... so I recently compared a lot of others.
