@atoptip6193: Is that a strand of hair on the right yellow thing at 2m52s?
@angelfire2023: If you ask me, this seems like it would be very useful for traditional/paper animation, more so than a flatbed scanner. Thanks for the vid.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @angelfire2023: I imagine it would be. It can be footswitch operated and it's quick.
@rpvermeulen: Whatever is inside, please keep unboxing!
@ron5493: I admire your confidence, but this seems like quite a boring product ??!!
@AudioMasterclass replies to @ron5493: Boring is best if you just want to get the job done.
@billhunt7862: I ogled the Yamaha NS-10M Studio monitors at the correct pitch attitude on top of the speaker stands like I was thirteen years old with my first Playboy centerfold.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @billhunt7862: And no staples to spoil the view.
@SteveWille: A real audiophile would have tested the scanner with a $500 USB cable to improve scan contrast, resolution and texture. Think how much better the sheet music scan would sound when played if it hadn’t been captured with the cheap included cable.
@wmrg1057: Maybe by adding some diffusion to the built in lights might help.
Looks like it might be good for quick and dirty scans
Certainly easier to carry than my Epson 12000xl
Wish you had mentioned if it runs under windows max size of scan and the resolution in dpi
Guess I'll have to dig up the spece sheet
@idtubenod: 😁
Microsofts Lens phone app does a better job and virtually with you all the time.
@thexfile.: VueScan works well with CZUR scanner.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @thexfile.: I've used VueScan. It can bring new life to old scanners that are no longer officially supported.
@mathumphreys: This might be better for your second channel.
@marxman00 replies to @mathumphreys: Is it messing up your dewey classification system?
@EgoShredder: I love how some in the comments lose their 💩 over a channel trying out different things, even though the vast majority of technology capable people will use a variety of tech on a daily basis, be it audio, video, photo or otherwise. Pretty sure most audio companies and studios will possess their own printer and scanner / document copier for business purposes.
@rienpost: Never mind the scanner, I really like the unboxing music. Is it yours?
@AudioMasterclass replies to @rienpost: It is. I'll be releasing an album later this year. It will be called 'Irritating Unboxing Music'. You think I'm kidding.
@rienpost replies to @rienpost: @AudioMasterclass I know you're not. :)
@artysanmobile: There is a law of statistics that says once you leave your lane, that lane will begin to move smoothly, and I expect you feel reminded of its corollary.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @artysanmobile: This is not untrue.
@ericbauer1937: I've got time and interest, and enjoyed it, even if off-topic.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @ericbauer1937: Thank you for your comment. This is a bit of a test of the algorithm which YouTube claims to match videos to viewers' interests. Clearly it's way from perfect, but going forward I expect it will improve. Then I can review anything!
@robertkosinski2105: scanner, eh?.... well, don't copy that floppy.... oh wait.. nevermind....
@robertkosinski2105 replies to @robertkosinski2105: on a serious note I would be ok with you reviewing any electronic equipment.
@maidsandmuses: Copy stand with integrated camera, not a scanner.
It has some interesting features, especially the software-based book/document flattening.
Its biggest downfall is the lighting setup. The built-in lights close to the camera lens is a real no-no for document copying; you'll get lots of reflections and highlights on glossy ink and glossy pages, as your test scans show. For quality nothing really beats a proper copy stand with 30 to 45 degree oblique symmetric crossed-beam lighting setup, but that is far less portable.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @maidsandmuses: Back in the days of old-fashioned film photography I did have a copy stand with four lights. It still didn't avoid glare or reflections. The best way I've found to photograph a document that is in any way shiny is to wait for a cloudy day then shoot it by a window. Amateur I know, but that's the best I've found so far.
@maidsandmuses replies to @maidsandmuses: @AudioMasterclass The correct lighting setup is arguably the most difficult aspect of document reproduction; many factors involved. You can e.g. use a glass platen to flatten a document and shoot through that; if the lighting is set up correctly you will not get reflections off the glass, as unintuitive as that may sound. But it takes experience.
@AudioMasterclass replies to @maidsandmuses: @maidsandmuses I absolutely do not disagree. Getting a decent, serviceable copy is one thing, getting the finest copy possible would be a specialism in its own right.
@verdedoodleduck: Love your unboxings. If I recall right, you ruminated a bit (somewhat sarcastically per usual) before doing these - am I remembering that correctly? Either way, very slick. Happy to listen to you review what you're working with and on.
@tiomkinnyborg2289: I loved your work when you did AUDIO. Bit depth, sample rates, etc. But this?? What has this got to do with sound?
Sorry, but I am out.
@marxman00 replies to @tiomkinnyborg2289: oh noo !
@EgoShredder replies to @tiomkinnyborg2289: No come back please, the channel can not survive without you! You were the brains, the money and the creativity behind this operation.
@thenewyorkcityboy replies to @tiomkinnyborg2289: I bet you threw your toys out of the pram when you were a baby. Some people don't grow up 🤷♂️
@tiomkinnyborg2289 replies to @tiomkinnyborg2289: @EgoShredder I didn't like the 'new' content. The author asked if we liked it. I said I didn't like it, so I stopped the video and watched something else. I didn't throw insults at any one. I'm sure he'll make something more on track in the future. I didn't realize not watching a vid I don't like was so upsetting to morons on the internet. Talk about low IQ...
@tiomkinnyborg2289 replies to @tiomkinnyborg2289: @thenewyorkcityboy If I don't like something I don't indulge in it. I didn't like milk as baby so I spat it out. When I was forced to drink it I became ill. (life lesson learned). So now if I don't like some stuff. I don't watch and I didn't feel the need to insult people who's tastes differ from mine. But you have the right to be a retard. Audio Masterclass made stuff about AUDIO. If he wishes to change that is up to him. I just will not watch things about a subject that has no interest for me. I didn't know it was a mandatory watch. Thanks for the advice. I'll leave my freedom in a jar by the door.
@ac81017: Don't mean to sound like a nasty pasty, but i think you should stick to what you and Audio Phil know best. This is after all Audio Masterclass.
@marxman00 replies to @ac81017: but there was nothing wrong with the audio
@ac81017 replies to @ac81017: @marxman00 Sitting in a fully treated, dedicated audiophile listening room, i couldn't agree more. His voice is front , center and very life like.
@marxman00 replies to @ac81017: @ac81017 Thats a free lesson from ...the master
@mozdieloz3826: The un-packing video is all very Film Noir!
@AudioMasterclass replies to @mozdieloz3826: Damn. I was going for Period Romance.
@mozdieloz3826 replies to @mozdieloz3826: @AudioMasterclass It's hard to do a Period Romance with a right up to date prop!
@marxman00: Ahh ....its a... "c a m e r a"... I highly doubt that it will ever catch on.
@flaghari: hi
