How to add gated reverb to a snare drum using VerbSuite Classics
Gated reverb is an effect popularized in the 1980s and is useful particularly on individual drums when you want to have a very strong reverb but without it overlapping subsequent drum hits, making the overall sound less clear.

Or you could have reverb suddenly spring into life whenever there is a tom fill.
In this tutorial I'll add gated reverb to a snare drum using the Slate Digital Steven Slate Drums drum virtual instrument and also the Slate Digital VerbSuite Classics reverb plug-in.
