Fret-King Black Label Country Squire Semitone Special is now available in a stunning blue burst
Fret-King’s ‘Black Label’ Country Squire Semitone Special has proven immensely popular with country players, not only seeking an exceptionally well built guitar, but one that also offers that little bit extra within playability and versatility.
Now available in this beautiful Blue Burst, the Country Squire Semitone Special effortlessly produces unmistakable chicken pickin’, string poppin’ licks aplenty, enhanced by the semi-acoustic two piece American alder body, Canadian maple fingerboard and bolt-on hard rock maple neck with tenon neck joint.
Like all Fret-King guitars, hardware within the Country Squire Semitone Special are by Wilkinson and include WJ07 machine heads and WTB bridge.
A WVC 3+3 Double coil pickup is in the neck position and a WHS single coil in the middle.
At the bridge, the flat pole piece WVOTB alnico single coil pickup, is housed within a stamped, cold roll steel baseplate to enhance the pickup’s magnetic field and offers authentic vintage '52 'Nashville Snap', and all the classic 'out of phase' sounds at a flick of the five-way selector switch.
And for that ‘little bit more’ the Wilkinson Vari-coil control, allows a seamless blend between all pickups for endless sonic permutations with extra punch and increased power.
Looking striking in this new eye-catching Blue Burst with parchment scratchplate and contrasting black volume and tone controls, the Fret-King Country Squire Semitone Special was originally aimed at the Country players, but that’s a far cry from what it can achieve.
All pickups have ample output to drive pedals and amps, enough to satisfy blues and hard rock players, whilst nudging the tone controls back a tad will produce honey sweet, full bodied, mellow jazz tones.
