Come on the FREE COURSE TOUR
I have a friend that has a small studio. Small time artists usually come to record there and pay from 300 US to 800 US for a song.
One day I came to his studio and him and an artist were arguing that my producer friend had made a CD compilation and was selling the artist's songs on it.
The artist said that he paid for the songs and that the producer cannot sell them and the producer said that the money paid was online for studio tome and that the artist could not pay a realistic price for the entire production so he (the producer) has the right to sell it.
I really would like to know how has the right to sell the song and who actually owns the songs. Can you offer some advice?
