n-Track Studio allows recording, mixing and editing of a virtually unlimited number of audio and MIDI tracks, and the new 4.0 version adds a number of improvements to the affordable software recording environment.
Among the many new features, the program now includes a compressor/dynamics plug-in, Always-On effects selectable and automatically inserted in every new channel, direct support for audio CD burning, built-in EQ with spectrum analyzer now available on all channels, better management of installed DirectX and VST plug-ins including a favorites list that allows the user to only display frequently used plug-ins, and support for MIDI instruments definition files.
The program now also includes a function to transfer tracks between different users running n-Track Studio and working on the same song at remote locations, making easier to collaborate in the recording of the various tracks of a song over the internet.
n-Track Studio 4.0 works on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP operating systems. It supports DirectX and VST plug-ins and instruments and can act as a ReWirehost.
n-Track Studio 4.0 costs $49, and a 24-bit audio version costs $75.
