My first comment is that this message is very impersonal. It shows that it is a 'carpet bomb' sent to very many people. I don't normally have time to deal with these. I expect that someone would have to know something about DMPML Music before they would want to make contact. Any message I receive should demonstrate this. However, this is an exception, so I'll continue.
How many demos I you receive a week?
On average one or two. That's usually one or two too many.
Of these, how many are of interest?
None of them. OK, maybe a couple a year.
Do you prefer instrumental only?
For heaven's sake, it's a production music library. Don't you know?
What is the most popular genre?
That's actually a good question. For DMPML Music, simple backgrounds work best. Genre isn't really a factor.
How much could a successful artist hope to gain from royalties in a year?
For 'successful', then hundreds of dollars. Thousands would be rare.
What payment terms do you offer?
Like the rest of the industry, royalties are paid twice yearly. DMPML Music pays 60 days in arrears, where the norm is 90 days. Payment is in a currency and by a method of DMPML Music's choice.
What contract/licensing terms do you offer the artist?
This is too big a question to answer completely. In simple terms, DMPML Music licenses the copyright for its full duration and agrees to make the music available to production music users. The royalty is 50% on both performances and mechanicals, which is standard for the industry.
Can you assess the percentage of revenue you earn from synchronization with television / films/ video games and advertising?
