Introduced in late 2003, MicroTonic quickly is a drum tool for software musicians that combines a drum synthesizer and pattern sequencer. Version 2.0 of the MicroTonic is the first major upgrade and sports over 20 new valuable features.
The update focuses on increasing the usability of the MicroTonic further with features such as direct previewing in the browsers, MIDI-controller support, a new "pitched" MIDI-mode, individual outputs and much, much more.
The upgrade is downloadable from the Sonic Charge web site and is free for all registered users. The price is still $69 (excl. VAT) for new customers, but the price will be raised on October 1 to $89.
MicroTonic version 2.0 is currently available in VST format for Windows and Mac OS X. An Audio Unit version is under development and due for release later in 2005.
