For nearly a decade, Epiphone and Joe Bonamassa have worked together to make stunning recreations of Joe’s favorite vintage guitars that anyone can afford. This time, the new Ltd. Ed. Joe Bonamassa ES-355 Standard Outfit is modeled after Joe’s personal ES-355 hollowbody archtop built by the Gibson Custom Shop for his Three Kings Tour honoring B.B. King, Freddie King, and Albert King.
“I have always loved the look and sound of black 355 guitars,” said Bonamassa. “Epiphone once again has masterfully re-created a guitar initially built for me by the Gibson Custom shop that I used on my Live at The Greek Theater DVD at a price point that is totally affordable for players and collectors of great ES guitars. Thank you once again it is an honor as always.”
The new Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Joe Bonamassa ES-355 Standard Outfit has a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple top and body with a beautiful Ebony finish adorned with multi-layer white & black binding. The Mahogany neck has 24.75” scale with a SlimTaper™-D profile with 22 medium jumbo frets along with an Ebony fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and Graphtech® Nubone™ nut. The Ltd. Ed. Joe Bonamassa ES-355 Standard Outfit is powered by critically acclaimed ProBuckerTM humbuckers with gold covers and Alnico II magnets, the same pickups Joe chose for his Epiphone Ltd. Ed. “Amos” Korina Flying “V” Outfit. About Joe Bonamassa:
As Joe Bonamassa enters his 30th year as a professional musician, he continues to blaze a remarkably versatile artistic trail, and amass an authentic, innovative and soulful body of work. Bonamassa's career began onstage opening for B.B. King in 1989, when he was only 12 years old. Today, he is hailed worldwide as one of the world’s greatest guitar players, and is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter who has released over 30 albums in the last 17 years, all on his own label, J&R Adventures. He founded and oversees the non-profit Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation to promote the heritage of the blues music to the next generation, fund music scholarships, and supplement the loss of music education in schools. Most recently, his latest release Redemption landed Bonamassa his 21st #1 Billboard Blues Album (more than any other artist in history) and currently holds two Grammy Nominations and several Blues Music Awards. With his full touring schedule and new music releasing in 2019, there are no signs of Joe slowing down.
