For the 2005 Winter NAMM show, Alesis announced the Photon X49, which further expands the USB/MIDI Keyboard controller series, the Photon 25 and X25. The user interface is completely assignable and features high-resolution knobs and faders. These assigned presets can then be stored for future use.
The AXYZ effects dome controls plug-ins and instruments parameters from your hand movements in three dimensions. Dedicated transport buttons, high-resolution LCD, 10-key control pad allow for mouse-free operation when composing on a computer.
Other features include customizable template strips for software instruments and DAWs, backlit Mod and Pitch wheels, Cubase LE software and USB bus power.
