Studer annouces promotion on A827 Gold Edition

SAN FRANCISCO, California - November 2004 -- Studer USA announced at the recent AES Convention that its highly revered A827 Gold Edition two-inch, 24-track analog tape recorder is now being temporarily offered at a special price of $29,995--nearly half off of its original list figure of $58,000.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for studios to acquire a legendary Studer analog tape machine for a fraction of the original cost," says Clayton Blick, Studer USA national sales manager. "And unlike other recorders on the used market still fetching a premium, these machines are brand new stock with zero wear on their heads and transports and a full factory warranty. Anyone who has had the distinct pleasure of working on a Studer A827 Gold Edition will tell you that its quality and craftsmanship are unrivaled and that its sound is breathtaking. We anticipate that this limited-time offer is going to make a number of studio owners very happy, indeed."

Under the terms of this promotion, A827 Gold Editions must be purchased by no later than December 15 with delivery taken by December 31. All product sales will be handled directly through Studer USA and may be initiated by contacting the company via studer-usa@harman.com or 866.406.2349.

Representing the culmination of more than 50 years of tape recorder design and manufacturing, the A827 Gold Edition is the last in Studer's line of superb-sounding analog two-inch machines that included the A80, A800 and A820. Widely considered the most sought after analog multitrack machine for music recording, the A827 features Studer's highly optimized tape transport, which guarantees fast and gentle tape handling, while the high performance heads and superb audio electronics are unsurpassed for capturing even the subtlest of musical nuance.

Offered in the industry-standard two-inch, 24-track format, the fully equipped A827 Gold Edition comes with a stand-mounted remote control and autolocator, 24-channel meter bridge, RS-232c interface, built-in tone generator and the Willi Studer signature nameplate designating it as a limited Gold Edition model.

Studer Professional Audio GmbH, founded by Willi Studer in 1948 and headquartered in Regensdorf, Switzerland, is a leading manufacturer of digital and analog mixing consoles and other high-end products for broadcast and recording applications. The company's products are distributed in the US by Harman Pro North America (HPNA), which also distributes products for BSS Audio and Soundcraft. HPNA is a subsidiary of Harman International.
