Voxengo has released the next version of their Crunchessor general-purpose track compressor in PC VST plug-in format.

This new version introduces a set of new 'Crisp' compression modes which give a different compression sound overall, putting more sound treatment options at your disposal.

In addition to the newer compression modes, for each selected mode now you can choose its strength ranging from smooth to strong. Also, further optimizations have been implemented, which are engaged when both the 'Clean' mode and 'Flat' style are active.

An 'Auto' processing quality option has been added which automatically selects the Normal quality mode during real-time processing and the High quality mode during offline/bounce processing thus reducing the hassle associated with the manual quality setting switching.

Crunchessor features:

  • Easy compressor tuning
  • Valve warmness
  • Coloration styles
  • Fast and slow attack modes
  • Gain reduction meter
  • Factory presets
  • "A-to-B" comparisons
  • Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
  • All sample rates supported
  • 64-bit internal precision
  • Native assembler DSP code
