Actually I didn't use much stuff since I used a home recording studio. Mainly in this song(Mutukuvu By Michael Jay Baziwe); I used a Behringer midi controller, Logic Pro9 and waves for mastering of course on a mac pro with snow osx.
Also, used a ShureSM27 microphone. I wrote this song in a local language, then produced it my self in my home studio then called for backup vocalist in the chorus only.
First; I program a track on logic, starting with the drumming. then also put in some instruments. after this, I arrange the track then put in vocals.
Then I try to apply some effects,compression,EQs,Re-verbs and Delays where necessary in the song. After , I do mix then bounce the song in 24bit and import it back to the page. then do some bit of mastering with Wave 7 and I mix down again. but this time in 16 bit. Here an done.
