Something has either been floating around in my head and through my fingers, or some lyrics keep gnawing at me.
Sometimes, when I'm bored, I'll troll the internet searching for ideas. Whichever way it happens, it is ussaully a speedy recording process.
I tend to wait until the last minute to lay tracks down. The only real preperation is mike placement and tones.
My vocal tracking ability is in flux. This track is an older one, 2005 I think. The end product has improved since then, at least I like to think it has.
I used a couple of cheapie condenser mics (low end AKG and audio-technica) in conjuction with a cheapie Behringer Uerorack UB2442FX, through a cheapie Line 6 Dual tone port, with the software bypassed for the vocals, Gearbox was used for the guitar tones all fed into Cubase LE loaded on a homeade machine.
I'm a tad bipolar so this is a kind of manic love song for the wife.
