Recordings of speech by newly-starting Audio Masterclass students

Audio Masterclass students start by sending in a simple recording of speech. That shouldn't be too difficult, should it?

It may seem very straightforward to record speech, but to do it to a high professional standard is actually quite difficult. Although broadcast standards may allow some defects such as mild popping or sibilance, speech recorded for TV or film drama, or for an audio book, must be perfect in all respects.

This video demonstrates a number of recordings by newly-starting Audio Masterclass students. Some are good, but some have problems that are severe. In all cases, Audio Masterclass will offer all the advice needed to make sure that any problems or defects can be corrected.
