Where does it lead?
The Foundation Degree is a new form of National Qualification and is equivalent to the Level 1 & 2 (year 1 & 2) of a BA (Hons) or BSc Degree.
At the end of the course, successful students will be awarded the qualification of the Foundation Degree in Music Technology and will choose to progress into employment or undertake a third year at the University of Westminster to complete a BA (Hons) Degree in Commercial Music.
What does it include?
The course has been developed as a result of a partnership between City of Westminster College and University of Westminster, UK.
The vocational emphasis of the Foundation Degree in Music Technology is intended to offer learners a combination of technical skills, academic knowledge and transferable skills in sound engineering applied to music, as demanded by the music, live sound, recording, broadcast, creative media and related industries. The course is approximately 75% practical and 25% theory, with a high proportion of live project material.

What do I need to get on to it?
Applicants will usually be expected to possess one A Level or two AS Levels in relevant subjects, or AVCE or BTEC ND in a relevant subject area.
Applicants with non-standard qualifications, non-UK qualifications or relevant experience are encouraged to apply. City of Westminster College offers interviews to all applicants.
