Well, this was recorded live in pure acoustic setting as a promotional single of Cebu Philippines indie rock artist Jeanine Maningo in 2005.

This was done in a pro studio using Sony Sound forge. The guitar was recorded using a condenser microphone as well as the vocals.

I let the studio mixing engineer to mix this acoustic song because I do not know his tools, while I add inputs to him how the mix should specifically sound.

It ended as a well recorded song, and then I do some home mastering of this track in 2005 using Adobe Audition to sound loud in the promo CD. It was a bit difficult because in 2005, I lack several equipments, tools and recording knowledge.

But I manage to produce my first set of masterpiece work which inspires me to work hard as a producer/engineer.

The lessons I learned on this project:

A. Do not mix in a studio you are not familiar. It is because when we outsource the studio, the engineer is using Sony Sound forge while I use Adobe Audition.

B.Re-master if you are not satisfied with the result. This final track is re-mastered more than 10 times.

I will start to work on the band version of this song which is louder and heavier.

Cheers,

Emerson
