AdsynDX is a sound synthesis application for Windows that lets you create audio waveforms using additive synthesis (the construction of complex sounds by adding together sine waves of various frequencies and amplitudes).
AdsynDX is designed for Windows XP and requires DirectX (version 8 or later), and a soundcard with Direct Sound drivers supporting 16-bit stereo wave playback at 44.1 KHz. With an appropriate soundcard, AdsynDX supports playback at rates up to 96 KHz.
The software is released as a fully-featured trial version that may be freely used for an initial evaluation period of up to 15 days. Registration thereafter costs $25.
