Keyboard Noise in the Vocal Audio... Aarg!
Somehow I have found that nothing beats recording the keyboard track and the vocal simultaneously. I record the vocal as normal audio and the keyboard I record as MIDI. That way I can choose the actual keyboard sound later. The integration of the vocal and background timing has an organic interconnection.

However, I find that the keyboard clicking sound inevitably gets sucked into the vocal audio. Does anyone know of a workaround or of a particularly quiet keyboard. Maybe this should just be tolerated or obscured by clever audio processing like the guitar "zits" that happen when guitar player shift chord positions.
