Easy adjustment to Hoag bass will allow string bowing.

Solid body bowed instruments in the past has been hampered by the lack of pickup adjustments to allow for bowing.

This has been solved by the Hoag Optical Pickup System. By placing an adjustment screw, located on the sensor mounting plate, will allow for arch heights. This adjustment is not limited to the bass but has application to cello, viola, violin and many more.

Hoag Pickup System has solved the problems of 'drop out signal', a loss of signal due to the elliptical pattern to the vibrating string. This drop out has been holding back the development of acoustical sounding amplified instruments.

The bowed string sample, when downloaded to sequencing software, will demonstrate this and will display the many overtones and fast response. The sound files are on Hoag Instruments web site. www.opticalguitars.com
