All practical sessions are 'hands-on' and you will usually work in a team of two people.

Audio Electronics practical sessions use special electronic teaching aids in combination with computer software that allows you to build, test and understand simple audio circuits.

Music technology practical sessions allow you to learn how to use the equipment within the context of Sound Engineering...

  • Synthesizers
  • Samplers
  • Sequencers
  • Effects units
  • Synchronizers

The School of Sound Engineering & Music Technology also has a professional standard recording studio situated with the college's Cockpit Theatre (a licensed off-West-End performance venue). All students have the opportunity to progress through our range of courses and eventually work on performances at the Cockpit Theatre. The most advanced students will be able to work in the control room of the recording studio.
