first I record half an hour of myself playing the drums (I can't really play) at a set tempo, hooked up to a neumann u87 on the kick, an akg solid tube on the snare, and two beyerdynamics 740s for overhead....

first I record half an hour of myself playing the drums (I can't really play) at a set tempo, hooked up to a neumann u87 on the kick, an akg solid tube on the snare, and two beyerdynamics 740s for overhead.

after going through the audio and finding sections I like, I will arrange a 16 bar loop and start on a bassline or guitar part depending...

next get the nord2 and look for somewhere it can go and then I will look through some old records and find some samples. Add a vocal and we got a track.

equipment is IMAC protools, MPC200xl, nord2, mvs1, gc2020, spirit sx, 1210s,
